Landmark Incentive Marketing, Inc.

Discovering undeveloped destinations and first-time trips is one of the most exciting aspects of what we do. To realize the latent possibilities of a primitive destination as an incentive “first” takes creativity, experience, hard work and pure passion. It is always a challenge, but one that we welcome. It is a perfect opportunity for Landmark to put its commitment, resourcefulness, and innovative thinking to the test.
...Here are a few destinations where we were put to the test...

Delivering a perfect trip program at an established incentive travel destination is one thing but when asked to create an incentive quality program out of a sleepy town of Santander on the north coast of Spain, an area undeveloped for incentive tourism, that’s a whole other skill set. "Can we do it?" the client asked. Knowing that it was the home town of his most important customer, who had cherished childhood memories, we made it our mission to get it right. Despite the multitude of obstacles and challenges presented, our Landmark experts re-discovered the area and were exhilarated to create a beautiful program itinerary. Premium incentive trips require expert guides, savvy tour companies, deluxe buses, knowledgeable airport staff, and restaurants to properly serve large groups, and most importantly top-notch hotels... all of which were lacking. Our team resourced everyone from the governor of the Provence of Cantabria, to every single restaurant, venue and hotel. Little by little the pieces came together to create an outstanding trip program. We turned a worn 5 star hotel into a shining star, we discovered many unique highlights in the area, we made many restaurants and clubs into "wow" venues and in the end we surpassed the expectations of our client and his most important customer.

In the early 1980s, when the People’s Republic of China was still considered a rather primitive tourist destination and certainly unprepared for incentive quality trips, Landmark ventured into this great exotic treasure. Although there were plenty of bicycles, buses didn’t exist, let alone cars. Finding experienced guides and food familiar to the American palate was challenge. However, our creative and resourceful team helped blossom China into a spectacular trip opportunity. There were many firsts for us as well as for the Chinese. Landmark's incentive trip was the first ever to host a private banquet in the Great Hall of the People, which was attended by many Chinese dignitaries. After the first modern hotel opened, each new trip surpassed the previous one and the Great Wall and China’s many other hidden gems became a spectacular incentive program for over 50 Landmark groups and counting.
